2022-07-05 CVE-2022-2097 AES OCB mode for 32-bit x86 platforms using the AES-NI assembly optimised implementation will not encrypt the entirety of the data under some circumstances. This could reveal sixteen bytes of data that was preexisting in the memory that wasn't written. In the special case of "in place" encryption, sixteen bytes of the plaintext would be revealed. Since OpenSSL does not support OCB based cipher suites for TLS and DTLS, they are both unaffected. Fixed in OpenSSL 3.0.5 (Affected 3.0.0-3.0.4).... Debian_linux, Fedora, Active_iq_unified_manager, Clustered_data_ontap_antivirus_connector, H300s_firmware, H410c_firmware, H410s_firmware, H500s_firmware, H700s_firmware, Openssl, Sinec_ins 5.3
2023-03-22 CVE-2023-0464 A security vulnerability has been identified in all supported versions of OpenSSL related to the verification of X.509 certificate chains that include policy constraints. Attackers may be able to exploit this vulnerability by creating a malicious certificate chain that triggers exponential use of computational resources, leading to a denial-of-service (DoS) attack on affected systems. Policy processing is disabled by default but can be enabled by passing the `-policy' argument to the... Openssl 7.5
2023-02-08 CVE-2023-0215 The public API function BIO_new_NDEF is a helper function used for streaming ASN.1 data via a BIO. It is primarily used internally to OpenSSL to support the SMIME, CMS and PKCS7 streaming capabilities, but may also be called directly by end user applications. The function receives a BIO from the caller, prepends a new BIO_f_asn1 filter BIO onto the front of it to form a BIO chain, and then returns the new head of the BIO chain to the caller. Under certain conditions, for example if a... Openssl, Stormshield_management_center 7.5
2008-05-13 CVE-2008-0166 OpenSSL 0.9.8c-1 up to versions before 0.9.8g-9 on Debian-based operating systems uses a random number generator that generates predictable numbers, which makes it easier for remote attackers to conduct brute force guessing attacks against cryptographic keys. Ubuntu_linux, Debian_linux, Openssl 7.5
2016-05-05 CVE-2016-2107 The AES-NI implementation in OpenSSL before 1.0.1t and 1.0.2 before 1.0.2h does not consider memory allocation during a certain padding check, which allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive cleartext information via a padding-oracle attack against an AES CBC session. NOTE: this vulnerability exists because of an incorrect fix for CVE-2013-0169. Ubuntu_linux, Debian_linux, Android, Helion_openstack, Node\.js, Openssl, Leap, Opensuse, Enterprise_linux_desktop, Enterprise_linux_hpc_node, Enterprise_linux_hpc_node_eus, Enterprise_linux_server, Enterprise_linux_server_aus, Enterprise_linux_server_eus, Enterprise_linux_workstation 5.9
2004-11-23 CVE-2004-0112 The SSL/TLS handshaking code in OpenSSL 0.9.7a, 0.9.7b, and 0.9.7c, when using Kerberos ciphersuites, does not properly check the length of Kerberos tickets during a handshake, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a crafted SSL/TLS handshake that causes an out-of-bounds read. Webstar, Mac_os_x, Mac_os_x_server, Converged_communications_server, Intuity_audix, S8300, S8500, S8700, Sg200, Sg203, Sg208, Sg5, Vsu, Cacheos_ca_sa, Proxysg, Firewall\-1, Provider\-1, Vpn\-1, Access_registrar, Application_and_content_networking_software, Call_manager, Ciscoworks_common_management_foundation, Ciscoworks_common_services, Content_services_switch_11500, Css11000_content_services_switch, Css_secure_content_accelerator, Firewall_services_module, Gss_4480_global_site_selector, Gss_4490_global_site_selector, Ios, Mds_9000, Okena_stormwatch, Pix_firewall, Pix_firewall_software, Secure_content_accelerator, Threat_response, Webns, Bsafe_ssl\-J, Stonegate, Freebsd, Aaa_server, Apache\-Based_web_server, Hp\-Ux, Wbem, Litespeed_web_server, Instant_virtual_extranet, Edirectory, Imanager, Openbsd, Openssl, Enterprise_linux, Enterprise_linux_desktop, Linux, Openssl, Openserver, Sidewinder, Propack, Servercluster, Stonebeat_fullcluster, Stonebeat_securitycluster, Stonebeat_webcluster, Crypto_accelerator_4000, Clientless_vpn_gateway_4400, Tarantella_enterprise, Gsx_server N/A
2003-03-03 CVE-2003-0078 ssl3_get_record in s3_pkt.c for OpenSSL before 0.9.7a and 0.9.6 before 0.9.6i does not perform a MAC computation if an incorrect block cipher padding is used, which causes an information leak (timing discrepancy) that may make it easier to launch cryptographic attacks that rely on distinguishing between padding and MAC verification errors, possibly leading to extraction of the original plaintext, aka the "Vaudenay timing attack." Freebsd, Openbsd, Openssl N/A
2005-09-16 CVE-2005-2946 The default configuration on OpenSSL before 0.9.8 uses MD5 for creating message digests instead of a more cryptographically strong algorithm, which makes it easier for remote attackers to forge certificates with a valid certificate authority signature. Ubuntu_linux, Openssl 7.5
2009-05-19 CVE-2009-1377 The dtls1_buffer_record function in ssl/d1_pkt.c in OpenSSL 0.9.8k and earlier 0.9.8 versions allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via a large series of "future epoch" DTLS records that are buffered in a queue, aka "DTLS record buffer limitation bug." Openssl N/A
2009-05-19 CVE-2009-1378 Multiple memory leaks in the dtls1_process_out_of_seq_message function in ssl/d1_both.c in OpenSSL 0.9.8k and earlier 0.9.8 versions allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via DTLS records that (1) are duplicates or (2) have sequence numbers much greater than current sequence numbers, aka "DTLS fragment handling memory leak." Ubuntu_linux, Openssl N/A
