2024-12-27 CVE-2024-56626 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix Out-of-Bounds Write in ksmbd_vfs_stream_write An offset from client could be a negative value, It could allows to write data outside the bounds of the allocated buffer. Note that this issue is coming when setting 'vfs objects = streams_xattr parameter' in ksmbd.conf. Linux_kernel 7.8
2024-12-27 CVE-2024-56627 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix Out-of-Bounds Read in ksmbd_vfs_stream_read An offset from client could be a negative value, It could lead to an out-of-bounds read from the stream_buf. Note that this issue is coming when setting 'vfs objects = streams_xattr parameter' in ksmbd.conf. Linux_kernel 7.1

2025-01-11 CVE-2024-53689 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: block: Fix potential deadlock while freezing queue and acquiring sysfs_lock For storing a value to a queue attribute, the queue_attr_store function first freezes the queue (->q_usage_counter(io)) and then acquire ->sysfs_lock. This seems not correct as the usual ordering should be to acquire ->sysfs_lock before freezing the queue. This incorrect ordering causes the following lockdep splat which we are able to reproduce... 2025-01-11 CVE-2024-54680 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix TCP timers deadlock after rmmod Commit ef7134c7fc48 ("smb: client: Fix use-after-free of network namespace.") fixed a netns UAF by manually enabled socket refcounting (sk->sk_net_refcnt=1 and sock_inuse_add(net, 1)). The reason the patch worked for that bug was because we now hold references to the netns (get_net_track() gets a ref internally) and they're properly released (internally, on... Linux_kernel 5.5

2025-01-11 CVE-2024-55642 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: block: Prevent potential deadlocks in zone write plug error recovery Zone write plugging for handling writes to zones of a zoned block device always execute a zone report whenever a write BIO to a zone fails. The intent of this is to ensure that the tracking of a zone write pointer is always correct to ensure that the alignment to a zone write pointer of write BIOs can be checked on submission and that we can always...
