2024-09-04 CVE-2024-44982 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/msm/dpu: cleanup FB if dpu_format_populate_layout fails If the dpu_format_populate_layout() fails, then FB is prepared, but not cleaned up. This ends up leaking the pin_count on the GEM object and causes a splat during DRM file closure: msm_obj->pin_count WARNING: CPU: 2 PID: 569 at drivers/gpu/drm/msm/msm_gem.c:121 update_lru_locked+0xc4/0xcc [...] Call trace: update_lru_locked+0xc4/0xcc put_pages+0xac/0x100 ... 2024-09-04 CVE-2024-44984 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bnxt_en: Fix double DMA unmapping for XDP_REDIRECT Remove the dma_unmap_page_attrs() call in the driver's XDP_REDIRECT code path. This should have been removed when we let the page pool handle the DMA mapping. This bug causes the warning: WARNING: CPU: 7 PID: 59 at drivers/iommu/dma-iommu.c:1198 iommu_dma_unmap_page+0xd5/0x100 CPU: 7 PID: 59 Comm: ksoftirqd/7 Tainted: G W 6.8.0-1010-gcp... Linux_kernel 5.5
2024-09-04 CVE-2024-44988 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: dsa: mv88e6xxx: Fix out-of-bound access If an ATU violation was caused by a CPU Load operation, the SPID could be larger than DSA_MAX_PORTS (the size of mv88e6xxx_chip.ports[] array). Linux_kernel 5.5
2024-09-04 CVE-2024-44994 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu: Restore lost return in iommu_report_device_fault() When iommu_report_device_fault gets called with a partial fault it is supposed to collect the fault into the group and then return. Instead the return was accidently deleted which results in trying to process the fault and an eventual crash. Deleting the return was a typo, put it back. Linux_kernel 5.5
2023-10-23 CVE-2023-5633 The reference count changes made as part of the CVE-2023-33951 and CVE-2023-33952 fixes exposed a use-after-free flaw in the way memory objects were handled when they were being used to store a surface. When running inside a VMware guest with 3D acceleration enabled, a local, unprivileged user could potentially use this flaw to escalate their privileges. 2024-09-04 CVE-2024-44949 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: parisc: fix a possible DMA corruption ARCH_DMA_MINALIGN was defined as 16 - this is too small - it may be possible that two unrelated 16-byte allocations share a cache line. If one of these allocations is written using DMA and the other is written using cached write, the value that was written with DMA may be corrupted. This commit changes ARCH_DMA_MINALIGN to be 128 on PA20 and 32 on PA1.1 - that's the largest possible... Linux_kernel 7.8
2024-09-04 CVE-2024-44950 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: sc16is7xx: fix invalid FIFO access with special register set When enabling access to the special register set, Receiver time-out and RHR interrupts can happen. In this case, the IRQ handler will try to read from the FIFO thru the RHR register at address 0x00, but address 0x00 is mapped to DLL register, resulting in erroneous FIFO reading. Call graph example: sc16is7xx_startup(): entry sc16is7xx_ms_proc():... Linux_kernel 5.5
2024-09-04 CVE-2024-44951 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: sc16is7xx: fix TX fifo corruption Sometimes, when a packet is received on channel A at almost the same time as a packet is about to be transmitted on channel B, we observe with a logic analyzer that the received packet on channel A is transmitted on channel B. In other words, the Tx buffer data on channel B is corrupted with data from channel A. The problem appeared since commit 4409df5866b7 ("serial: sc16is7xx:... Linux_kernel 7.8
2024-09-04 CVE-2024-44991 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: prevent concurrent execution of tcp_sk_exit_batch Its possible that two threads call tcp_sk_exit_batch() concurrently, once from the cleanup_net workqueue, once from a task that failed to clone a new netns. In the latter case, error unwinding calls the exit handlers in reverse order for the 'failed' netns. tcp_sk_exit_batch() calls tcp_twsk_purge(). Problem is that since commit b099ce2602d8 ("net: Batch... Linux_kernel 5.5
2024-09-04 CVE-2024-45001 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: mana: Fix RX buf alloc_size alignment and atomic op panic The MANA driver's RX buffer alloc_size is passed into napi_build_skb() to create SKB. skb_shinfo(skb) is located at the end of skb, and its alignment is affected by the alloc_size passed into napi_build_skb(). The size needs to be aligned properly for better performance and atomic operations. Otherwise, on ARM64 CPU, for certain MTU settings like 4000,... Linux_kernel 5.5
